Lest We Forget

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to fulfill it.”—George Santayana

Sarah Underwood explores history, literature, and political science in “Lest We Forget.” She belongs to the College of William and Mary’s Class of 2011 and is a former Yale University Press intern. As she negotiates the real world, she draws on the experience that YUP authors already have to share. While she does not quite think that “there is nothing new under the sun,” Yale’s acclaimed history list reinforces her belief that humans before us have already found solutions for problems unique to our experience.
